OTVIEW NOW SHAREWARE! (& Less $$)!!
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Greetings, All!! 26 January, 1994
"OTVIEW Version 3.1 is now RELEASED as FULLY-FUNCTIONAL SHAREWARE!!"
Price reduced to $25.00 pending release of NEW Version 4.0!
After 2 years of programming, and 3 rounds of BETA testing, the
long-awaited program to access all the internal functions of the
popular LIFESCAN One-Touch II Blood Glucose meter is finally
available!! Tight and compact, OTVIEW can be run from DOS or from
WINDOWS and only needs a little over 200K of available RAM to run!
Only occupying a little over 250K of Disk space, OTVIEW will run
GREAT on a laptop or even from a single 360K diskette!!
With the pending release of the NEW VERSION 4.0, (with improved Graph
displays and analytical/trend functions, etc.) in the next few months,
Merritt Island Technologies, a group of folks from the Kennedy Space
Center area, has released the FULLY OPERATIONAL version of this flexible
program under the name OTVIEW.ZIP. Shareware policies apply. If you like
it and continue to use it past 30 days, please register it!! <Grin>.
NOTE: ALL REGISTERED USERS WILL RECEIVE VERSION 4.0 AT *NO* CHARGE!!
The Registration can be accomplished on-line (with most major Charge
Cards) and the Program downloaded, from their BBS at (407)459-0969.
Also, you can mail-register OTVIEW with SPACECON, 253 Merritt Sq.,
Suite 616, Merritt Island, FL 32952 by Check or Charge card (VISA/MC)
for $25.00 plus $4.00 Handling and mailing of Disk (specify type)..
Information on registering OTVIEW version is also contained in the
doc files included with OTVIEW. For those who have the capability,
OTVIEW is File-Requestable from 1:374/22 with "magic" name "OT", or
you may log on as an anonymous guest to their BBS by logging on as
"*BETA TESTER ONETOUCH" at the "First Name:" prompt and D/L OTVIEW.ZIP
from their GUEST file area. (other files available, also...) *
OTVIEW is a small and simple yet powerful tool designed to let you
control the operation of and retrieve data from the ONE TOUCH II
blood glucose meter manufactured by LifeScan, Inc. It will allow you
to display and modify any of the meter's operating parameters, clear
the internal memory, and to download, annotate, print, plot, and
store readings from the meter. This program has evolved from over two
years of development and testing, and they have included many features
and improvements suggested by a variety of people who used this program
daily over a long period of time. This program is a quality product that
will greatly enhance both the use of the ONE TOUCH II meter, and the
recording and analysis of blood glucose levels.
If you have ideas on how to make it better, Tom McKeever and Mike Peacock
can be reached at the SPACECON BBS (1:374/22, 94:4070/1, or 150:401/8) at
(407) 459-0969 at any time. Phone messages may be left at their voice
